May 10 - The day when we are besides patients with Lupus

On May 10, the Association of Patients with autoimmune disease organized the support group meeting for patients with lupus. At this meeting were invited Mrs. Dr. Eugenia Bălănescu - MD rheumatologist, Mrs. Dr. Rodica Olteanu - MD Dermatology, Mrs. Gigi Ghinea - psychologist, Cuibuș Paula – psychologist Pilot Center of Reference for Rare Diseases, and Marilena Hluscu – GSK.
During the meeting, patients had the opportunity to know each other, and to share their experiences in dealing with this disease. They also had the opportunity to ask questions to of medical specialists and psychologists. The main topics discussed were disease-specific problems and ways of overcoming them.
Through this meeting we had the opportunity to present the services of the Pilot Center of Reference for Rare Diseases - NoRo. From the testimonies of the participants, it was revealed the fact that patients are pleasantly surprised, impressed by what the NoRo Center can offer and are interested in getting organized as a group of patients with lupus in order to benefit from our services.
