The Workshop “Guiding Principles for Specialised Social Services”

During 6-th and 7-th of December 2012, at the Reference Pilot Centre for Rare Diseases NoRo tool place the first workshop of the common action of EUCERD ”Working for rare diseases” 2012-2015 having the theme “Guiding Principles for Specialised Social Services”.
Among the participant there have been present representatives of EURORDIS, of the European Commission, of the specialized social services, academic world representatives and of the authorities in this domain.
The main purpose of the workshop was to establish a consensus concerning the basic principles that should be respected by the specialized social services in Europe, to assure the quality and the equity of the performed services, as well as a better care for the patients with rare diseases.
