Thalassemia Workshop

Between 11 to 14 October 2012, held in Sinaia Twentieth National Conference on Clinical Hematology and Transfusion (with international participation). In this conference, Association of People with thalassemia major (APTM) organized a Thalassemia workshop on October 12, 2012. The workshop was attended by Dr. Dimitrios Farmakis in Greece with his "Assessment and monitoring of cardiac complications due to iron overload," Dr. Teleianu Camelia - MD Cardiologist spoke on "Treatment of patients with thalassemia major cardiology" psychologist Adelina Sucea presented the paper "psychosocial counseling and patients 'right' and dentist Dr. Loredana Cojanu had a presentation about dental treatment. From the National Alliance for Rare Diseases physiotherapists participated Tegzeş Florica presented the paper "mud and importance of physical therapy center for people with thalassemia major," then Dr. Antonis Kattamis who spoke on "Evaluation and monitoring of endocrine complications due to iron overload" and workshop ended with a presentation of endocrinologist Dr. Albu Alice  title "endocrinological treatment in patients with thalassemia major."
